Speed Racer
About 2-1/2 hours too long. It's a children's movie @#%! Skip the movie and have a buddy edit down the best scenes to play the length of the closing music. Then cop some Xstacy and turn up the volume. It's a music video - remember those?

Tropic Thunder
If you have had a lobotomy, or if you actually find Ben Stiller movies funny, then this might work for you. It spells out all the "Hollywood Insider" humor plainly enough so that you can laugh at the prescribed times and then go home and tell your friends how you "got" the insider references. Where the script stalls, plenty of gratuitous explosions fill in the narrative for you so that you don't have to think for yourself. Tom Cruise dances to hip-hop wearing a prosthetic chest-wig. 10 year old drug king-pins shoot bazookas at the stars. Genius, really, how he makes tis stuff up.

The Dark Knight
Yes! A decent movie, finally. Go see it! See it for the script, the acting, the special effects. Mostly, go see it for the chilling portrayal of the Joker.
